Log and review
Record your sets, finish the workout, then explore your history, records and achievements in Progress.
LOGGING & HARDWARE
Is it possible to lift without a set plan or gear?
Yes. Choose Start a Strength Workout during setup, then choose bodyweight or add the equipment you have. Quick Workout is also available on Today; no program is needed. In My Gym, edit equipment, actual bar weight and available loads. Dumbbells are normally logged per hand; barbells include the bar. You can choose pounds or kilograms per movement and correct a logged set during a workout. Weight suggestions use your equipment, history and effort feedback; adjust them for your ability and technique.
How are routines and exercises edited?
Open Program → Manage your program to archive or delete the current plan. Archive keeps it for later; Delete removes the plan while keeping completed workouts and progress history. Finish or discard an active workout first. To create a custom movement, open My Gym → Create Movements, or choose Create a movement while selecting exercises. Give variations distinct names and choose how you log weight. Once a movement is used in a workout or plan, its weight-logging method stays fixed so its records remain consistent.
PRIVACY & BACKUPS
How can I access and safeguard my lift data?
Open Progress for workout history, movement history, records and body weight. Your training records stay on your devices. There is no cloud sync. Open Settings → Backup & restore to export a portable backup, and keep a copy somewhere you trust outside this iPhone. The app keeps daily and pre-restore recovery copies locally, but those cannot protect against device loss. Install updates over the existing app; do not delete it first. Training files are marked for exclusion from automatic device backups, so do not rely on those as your only backup.
How do I restore or remove my data?
Open Settings → Backup & restore to restore a compatible portable backup. Review the preview and confirmation: restoring replaces current training data instead of merging histories. Finish or discard an active workout first. Delete App in iPhone Settings removes local app data; Offload App keeps it. Remove the Watch app separately. Original Apple Health records, shared backups and older device backups are separate. For deletion of support reports you sent us, email rich@repfoundry.net.
HEALTH INTEGRATION & WATCHES
How is Health data handled with the Watch?
Watch strength logs transfer to your paired iPhone; keep both apps installed and allow the devices to reconnect. Watch cardio saves to Apple Health. After Health syncs, open Watch workouts on iPhone to import the recording. Cardio imports are saved recordings, not live mirroring. With authorization, completed strength sessions, single workouts, cardio and benchmarks can be saved to Health with active calories and available distance. Already linked Health recordings are not exported again. Sets and reps stay in RepFoundry. Check Health permissions and allow time for Apple’s syncing if data is missing. Recaps use recorded energy or labeled estimates from available sensors, heart-rate information, or activity and duration.
How do I track runs and manage the rest interval timer?
Choose Today → Walk, Run & Cardio to record a timed activity with optional outdoor GPS or manual distance. GPS estimates distance and pace, including with the screen locked; RepFoundry does not save route coordinates. Compatible Bluetooth heart-rate monitors use the standard Heart Rate service. Open Settings → Health & devices, wake the monitor, scan and choose it. Apple Watch does not connect through that scan. If a rest alert does not sound, open Settings → Rest & alerts and check Automatic rest timer, Play rest sound and Alert outside the app. Also check iPhone notification permissions, Focus and Silent Mode. Planning and manual iPhone logging work without Health, Bluetooth, GPS or notification permission.
SUBMIT A BUG
Email rich@repfoundry.net with the steps you took, expected result, actual result, how often it happens, app version and device/software versions. Settings → Help & feedback includes a shareable report template. The template does not attach workout or Health records, and nothing is sent automatically.
