REPFOUNDRY PRIVACY POLICY
Your information. Clearly explained.
Last updated: October 2, 2026
1. Who we are
Â
RepFoundry is a strength-training planner and cardio workout log for iPhone and Apple Watch, operated by Richard Greene. This policy covers the app, repfoundry.net, and support or testing reports received by the developer. For privacy questions or requests, email rich@repfoundry.net.
Â
2. Information on your devices
Â
RepFoundry works without an account. Plans and weight suggestions are calculated on your iPhone. The app uses your optional first name, preferences, equipment and available loads, training goals and experience, plans, custom movements and notes, logged sets, effort feedback, optional body-weight entries, cardio duration and distance, and imported workout summaries to personalize training, resume sessions and show progress.
Â
These records are stored in the app’s private area on your devices. RepFoundry does not operate a developer server for workout data or automatically upload training or Health records to the developer. The app contains no advertising, tracking or third-party analytics SDK. Training information can leave the app through connections and sharing that you authorize, as described below.
Â
Optional Community Gyms (v1.2 and later)
Â
You can search reviewed gym listings by choosing a country and entering a city or postal code, with an optional region for city searches. The typed search fields and an Apple App Attest verification request go to RepFoundry’s Community Gyms service, hosted with Cloudflare Workers and D1. This feature does not ask for your device location or send GPS coordinates. Directory access requires a verified RepFoundry app installation; Rich uses a separate protected review console. Search fields, an app-installation identifier and verification records, contributions and equipment reports are processed for app functionality and abuse prevention, linked to this installation without a member account, and are not used for tracking. Optional venue website and phone links open only when you tap them; external services follow their own privacy practices.
Â
Your gyms are private by default. Enabling submission for one gym does not upload it. If you review and confirm a proposal, the service receives the venue name, optional street address, city or locality, country, optional region and postal code, optional public venue website and phone number, catalog equipment, and supported load details. It does not receive your private gym ID, workouts, programs, body weight, Health records, notes, or custom equipment. Rich reviews proposals and corrections before they appear to other app users. Another person can copy an approved listing into a private gym on their device.
Â
You may report that a listing’s equipment still matches, suggest a correction to a selected gym, report a listing as unavailable or offensive, or send a separate free-text request for a new equipment type. An equipment match report is not proof of a visit. Free-text equipment ideas stay in Rich’s private catalog queue and do not automatically add an item to a listing or the workout engine. App verification and request status are tied to this installation without a member account; reinstalling or changing phones may prevent recovery of earlier submission history. Pending requests can be withdrawn. Rich reviews removal requests for published listings, but removing one does not delete private copies already saved by others.
Â
Expired app-verification challenges and review form tokens are removed after one day, daily intake counters after 32 days, and stored App Attest receipt bytes within one day after expiry. Private venue and equipment proposal text is redacted 180 days after a request is resolved, while pending requests remain for review. Rejected or withdrawn equipment ideas are redacted after 180 days. Approved listing versions and review action records remain while the directory operates. Email rich@repfoundry.net with a listing or request ID if you want us to review removal of service data.
Â
3. Optional Apple Health
Â
With permission, the iPhone app reads body-weight and heart-rate samples from Apple Health. A Health weight becomes a saved RepFoundry entry when you choose to save it. You can import workouts or link a matching Health recording to a recap. Saved summaries may include activity type, dates, duration, distance, estimated active calories, heart-rate summaries, source name and the Health workout identifier used to avoid duplicates. Optional automatic imports check recent recordings when the app returns to the foreground.
Â
Connecting Apple Health also enables automatic export of completed workouts, active calories and available distance after authorization. This includes program strength sessions, single workouts, cardio and benchmarks. Workouts already recorded in Health remain linked without another export. Sets, reps and aggregate heart-rate summaries stay in RepFoundry. Apple manages Health data and syncing under your device settings and Apple’s policies. RepFoundry does not send these records to a developer-operated server.
Â
4. Apple Watch, Bluetooth, location & alerts
Â
The Watch app uses HealthKit for workout recording and available heart rate, distance and active energy. Watch cardio saves the workout and lap events to Apple Health and keeps the latest 30 cardio recaps on the Watch. Strength logs and available summaries transfer to the paired iPhone; the iPhone can export completed strength sessions to Health when authorized. Workout setup, current sessions and preferences needed to operate the app may be stored on the Watch.
Â
During an active iPhone workout, readings from a compatible Bluetooth heart-rate monitor contribute to a locally saved summary, including average and peak heart rate and reading count. Readings outside an active workout are not saved to workout history. Recaps can also save a heart-rate summary from authorized Health samples within the workout’s time window. Device names help you choose a monitor.
Â
Calories use recorded energy when available. Otherwise, RepFoundry uses available Watch sensor energy, supported heart-rate estimates or activity-and-duration estimates. Reference body-weight or resting-heart-rate values and estimate coverage are labeled in the app. These summaries stay with local workout data and may be included in a backup or export you choose to share.
Â
Optional iPhone GPS processes location samples to estimate outdoor distance and pace, including while an active activity runs in the background. Updates stop when paused, finished, discarded or switched to manual distance. Only distance totals are saved; RepFoundry does not store or export coordinates or route maps. The Watch may request location access for outdoor workout metrics; RepFoundry does not save a route map.
Â
Rest alerts use optional local notifications. iPhone planning and manual logging work without Health, Bluetooth, location or notification access. Watch Health recording requires authorization. Change permissions in Apple Health or device Settings.
Â
5. Portable backups, exports & restoration
Â
Preparing a portable backup or export creates a local copy of your saved records, including body weight and Health-derived summaries when present. It leaves the app only when you select a destination. That destination handles its copy under its own practices. Temporary exports require the device to be unlocked and are cleared when you close Settings or next launch RepFoundry. Copies you save or share elsewhere are not removed.
Â
You can export and restore compatible portable backups in Settings → Backup & restore. Restoring replaces current training data; review the preview and confirmation before proceeding. The app also keeps a daily local recovery copy and a copy from before the last restore on this iPhone. Local recovery cannot protect against device loss. Save a portable copy outside this iPhone somewhere you trust. RepFoundry does not provide cloud sync.
Â
6. Support, feedback & service providers
Â
Optional one-time Support RepFoundry tips are App Store purchases handled by Apple. They grant no extra features, gym review priority, or subscription. The app receives the purchase result; it does not send workout or Health records to RepFoundry’s Community Gyms service as part of a tip. If you email us, we receive the address you use, your message and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information to investigate issues, reply to requests and improve RepFoundry. The in-app report template includes app version, generic device type, iOS version and blank questions; it does not attach workout or Health records. Review reports and screenshots before sending them.
Â
If you choose to test a TestFlight build, Apple processes tester information, crash reports, usage information and submitted feedback, and makes testing information available to the developer. Apple’s practices apply to its services. Support messages are handled by our email provider. Hosting and email providers process information to deliver their services and have their own privacy and retention practices. We do not sell your personal information or use workout or Health information for advertising.
Â
7. This website & external services
Â
Repfoundry.net is hosted on Wix. Wix and its infrastructure providers may process connection and usage information such as IP address, requested pages, browser/device information and request times to deliver, secure and monitor the website. Wix may use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions, security, performance and site-usage reporting. Website activity is separate from the app’s local training records; visiting these pages does not give the website access to your workouts or Apple Health data.
Â
You can manage cookies through your browser settings and any cookie controls shown on this site. Blocking essential cookies may affect site features. Read Wix’s Privacy Policy and Wix’s cookie information for its practices. These pages provide support and policy information without requiring account registration or submission of workout data.
Â
Instagram, Discord, Apple and email links take you to external services with their own privacy practices. Information you post in a community may be visible to other members. Use rich@repfoundry.net for private support and privacy requests.
Â
8. Retention & deletion
Â
Local records remain until you remove them. Delete App in iPhone Settings removes RepFoundry’s local app data; offloading keeps it. Remove the Watch app separately to remove its local records. Deleting a program keeps completed workouts and progress history. Deleting RepFoundry does not remove original Apple Health records, shared backups, older device backups or reports already sent.
Â
RepFoundry uses Apple file protection and marks training records for exclusion from automatic device backups. Workout and recovery files remain accessible after the first device unlock so active sessions can save while the screen is locked. Backup exclusion is a system instruction rather than an absolute guarantee; older backups may contain earlier records. Manage those copies separately.
Â
We delete resolved support and beta reports within 90 days after resolution, unless longer retention is required by law or to address an ongoing security or legal issue. To request deletion of reports you sent us, email rich@repfoundry.net and identify the report. We may need information to locate your request. Records independently held by Apple or other providers follow their policies.
Â
9. Your choices & rights
Â
First name, body-weight entry and iPhone Health, Bluetooth, location and notification connections are optional. Revoking Health access does not delete entries or summaries already saved in RepFoundry. Manage original Health records in Apple Health.
Â
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction of or objection to processing of personal information we hold, and to contact a privacy regulator. Email rich@repfoundry.net to make a request. We cannot remotely access or recover the app’s local workout file.
Â
RepFoundry is a general fitness tool and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it.
Â
10. Changes & contact
Â
We will update this policy and its date when our practices change. For a question about your information or a privacy request, contact Richard Greene at rich@repfoundry.net.
